Dorm Room Meat Sauce

Posted by

The history of my cooking skills are a bit shady. Smoke filled back room yeshiva kitchens and mystery meat, etc. But some of what I was able to create was by far decent. One such recipe was my Dorm Room Meat Sauce. Like many yeshiva students, there was a necessity for me to get creative with the limited resources available. The hot dogs the yeshiva served at least twice a month were at best 20% beef.

Something needed to be done to mask some of the interesting flavors, and spruce it up so it could be more filling. The onions and sauce did a pretty good job of improving the taste, and let’s face it. Who doesn’t like spaghetti?

And so my meat sauce was born.
