Bourbon Balls

I hoard food magazines. Every week, I love reading interesting recipes from across the globe and see how I can replicate it in my own kitchen. Sometimes it is a challenge to convert those recipes to kosher, but other times, it can be done easily. So in comes Purim, a time people enjoy baking to align with their themes and bake traditional Purim foods! I am tired of the traditional rum balls, hamentashen etc. so when I came across this recipe for bourbon balls in the Southern Living magazine, I knew I had to try it. I recently purchased a Burnside Oregon Oaked Bourbon and I knew this smooth bourbon had the right amount of kick to make these chocolates taste awesome! Please note, this recipe is not for minors as you will not be cooking the alcohol out. Top these balls with your favorite Yum Tee roasted nuts and Voilà…the perfect Bourbon Ball.
