Whole Wheat Challah

This is my tried-and-true, favorite challah recipe. I always get asked if it is 50/50 whole wheat with white wheat flour because it is light in color and texture. My trick is to sift the whole wheat flour to remove any grittiness. I usually make this with an “everything” topping–a mixture of poppy seeds, sesame seeds, sea salt, dried minced onion and dried minced garlic.
